Fundación Euroárabe de Altos Estudios
The Euro-Arab Foundation (FUNDEA) is a highly specialized institution that works in the fields of cooperation, training and research, creating a space for dialogue and collaboration between the countries of the European Union and the Arab League on the one hand, and between the local, regional, national and European social and institutional actors and its Arab and Islamic communities agents on the other. FUNDEA has a unique composition, mission and location: Based in Granada, a reference of historical cross-cutting heritage and issues over the world, FUNDEA carries out high-level research and advanced training that focuses mainly on intercultural and religious dialogue, civil society awareness raising, diversity management and , immigration, democratic governance and prevention of violent extremism by promoting mutual understanding, multicultural peaceful co-existence and diversity richness as fundamentals for preventing and combating racism, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance. FUNDEA also has a wide experience in the development of training and educational programs and is used to actively incorporate the gender mainstreaming in all their activities.
Based on its cutting edge research experience on PVE in the Middle East and North Africa, FUNDEA will act as country co-lead for Tunisia and will coordinate fieldwork with regard to interactions between state and religious institutions (WP4). Given its expertise in dialogue facilitation, training and policy advice, FUNDEA will also participate in the development of training modules and multi-stakeholder guidelines (WP7). Finally, the FUNDEA team will take part in overseeing the cross-cutting research on gender.
